ISS’ Global Head Office

Design for many years to come

Dissing+Weitling, ISS, central space

When ISS moved into its new global headquarters in Greater Copenhagen, the company moved into a building designed by Dissing+Weitling six years previously for NNIT. The strength and transparency of the core building gave us a solid starting point to find the right solution for ‘the new ISS’.

    2007 - 2013
  • Client
    DKE, De Københavnske Ejendomsselskaber
    Collaborators
    NIRAS / MT Højgaard
    Size
    6,200 m²
  • The transformation of the headquarters from one occupant to the next took full advantage of the building’s already flexible layout, its visual transparency, interior space and acoustic features, without us needing to make any significant structural changes. This underlines the timeless quality of the building, since it already had and still can create great settings for a good working environment.

ISS is a leading workplace experience and facility management company operating worldwide. Understanding ISS’ strategy was fundamental for building lasting value.

We found a solution in close collaboration with ISS that could merge corporate culture and architecture into one, and transform the headquarters into a place that would be consistent with ISS’ new identity. Accordingly, we integrated several new functions and changed the overall feel of the building to become an open and welcoming space for ISS’ employees.
